Parent-Pal Introduction to Skiing
This class is available to any student 4-13 who may learn better with a parent there. It is designed for the beginner skier who still needs to work on stopping.
Parents must accommodate the student at all times. The parent is there for moral support of learning and assisting the instructor when needed. Remember if you do all the work the student will take longer to learn the skis asked.
This is a half day class. If the student progresses and space is available - the student may join the the Rope Tow class for an additional charge.
Please do not sign up for this class because you want a 1/2 day lesson. There is limited space for these classes and you will take it away from someone who needs this class.
Classes include 2 surface tow tickets for both parent and child.
Rentals are not included.
Arrival time is 9:30-9:45. Arrivals after this time are considered late. If you are late, we consider if the student can join without disturbing the class. They may be placed in afternoon lesson if they are to late. The AM Session will last between 10.15am-12pm
Arrival time is 12:30-12:45 for this class. Arrivals after this time are considered late. The PM Session will last between 1:15pm-3:00pm
The student will learn:
how to put on and take off their skis
side step and duck walk on an incline
gliding to a stop and a mid glide wedge stop
introduction to turning
This is not a beginner class for the parent. Parents do not need equipment and should be in snow boots to participate.
